International solvency

    A company's solvency corresponds to its ability to meet its financial obligations: pay its operating expenses, suppliers and service providers, etc. A company's solvency is obviously directly linked to its financial health. It confirms (or not) a company's ability to continue its activities over a definable period of time (6 months, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years...). This is the main point of distinction between solvency and liquidity. Liquidity measures a debtor's ability to repay its debts in the event that it continues in business, unlike solvency, which assumes that it will cease trading.
